So, we were overdue for a family vacation, but every time my husband mentioned it, I kind of put it off. I was not looking forward to traveling with two little ones again, on airplanes while they fussed and required constant attention, and the planes would be delayed and miss their connections, and the flight crew would be totally rude and uncaring. This has all happened before. One of my worst trips ever we slept in the Denver airport overnight on the floor with an infant and newly pregnant with another. I can't even begin to tell you just how miserable that trip was and how terrible people were to us. Anyway....
We booked a trip to Orlando, FL to visit family and to do the Disney and Universal thing. Sounds fun, but I just kept thinking about how much work it was going to be. But I had to go.
So what I decided to do was write out our trip as though it already happened and tell about just how perfect our vacation was. Here is what I scribbled down in a notebook one night before bed:
"We just returned this evening from a totally awesome vacation to FL. I am so happy and grateful that our trip to FL went spectacularly well! All of our flights both to and from FL were on time. We were treated very nicely by the flight staff. The flights were all smooth and comfortable. The kids were in good moods, happy and kept themselves entertained on the flights. I even got a chance to relax and rest on the flights. We got our luggage quickly and in perfect shape. When we got to FL, we got our rental car quickly and drove to our hotel. The hotel was wonderful! The rooms were clean and beautiful. The staff was wonderful and very responsive. The pool was great! The water was perfect. The weather was also perfect the whole time we were in FL! And even more wonderful was that everyone was in perfect health the entire trip. Everyone felt strong, healthy and full of energy! We visited Magic Kingdom and had a beautiful day. The lines were short and we got to see everything we wanted to, including Minnie Mouse. We also had a perfect day at Universal Orlando with my parents. We got to see all the attractions we wanted and the lines were quite short! We also spent part of a day at the water park. We all had so much fun! The weather was perfect and there were a lot of fun things we got to do together there. We also had a nice day visiting with all the family for Henry's birthday. The food was geat and everyone enjoyed themselves. We had a wonderful trip!"
That pretty much sums up how our trip really happened! Oh, there were a couple little bumps in the road, but nothing that ruined our trip. There actually was bad weather on one day, but we worked around it and we still managed to do everything we wanted to do while we were there. All our flights were on time, and the kids were great travelers. I even got an entire row to myself on one of the flights! And I did get a little reading done as well. How nice! Despite the fact that it was spring break, and we ended up going to Magic Kingdom the day after the bad rain storms along with everyone else and it was totally packed, most of the lines were reasonably short for the attractions we wanted to see. Go figure! They were even shorter at Universal the following day. Everyone stayed healthy and we all had a great time. Oh, and usually the night before we leave for a vacation I don't sleep well, and then in the morning I usually have an upset stomach. But this time, I slept well, felt rested and felt full of energy!
I truly believe that by writing this out and reading it several times before our trip and visualizing in my head the perfect trip that it helped me to manifest it. I'm sure that if I focused on everything going wrong, it very easily would have.
So next time you're dreading doing something, write out a script of exactly how you'd like it to go as though it already happened. Read it over many times. See if you don't manifest an experience more like what you desire than what you've gotten in the past.

What Have You Manifested?
The Universal Laws work all the time, whether we're conscious of them or not. We may attract good things or bad things (in our opinion) and not understand why these things are coming into our lives. So, since the universal laws, and the law of attraction have been working for all of my life, I thought I'd take a look back and see exactly what I've manifested!
I'd like to share with you two major things I manifested into my life, before I even knew about the Universal Laws and the Law of Attraction.
The first BIG thing I manifested was my move from to CA. When I was 16, I visited CA and thought it was amazing and wonderful and felt that I HAD to move here. When I was in college I bought one of those large panoramic posters of the city of San Francisco and had it laminated. I hung it prominently over my bed where I saw it several times a day. When I graduated college the poster came with me and it hung over my bed there as well where I saw it every morning when I woke up and every night as I went to bed. At some point, I decided to answer some job ads out in California. I got a call to come out for an interview in the SF Bay area. I flew out, did the interview, went back to my hotel and got a call later the same day offering me the job! I accepted it, flew home, packed up my car with my belongings and moved out here! That was 14 years ago! Yes, it took several years to actually manifest that dream, but I did it, and without really doing anything specific to make it happen. Things take more time when we're not consciously focusing on manifesting them.
The second BIG thing I manifested that I hadn't even realized at the time was my husband. How? I was a single girl in my 30's and ready to settle down but things just weren't falling into place. I read the book "Finding True Love" by Daphne Rose Kingma and one of the exercises in it was to write a list to the Universe about what exactly I wanted in the perfect mate. I did that exercise (7-20-1998), wrote it all down, and put it aside. It wasn't until somewhat recently (several years later) that I found that notebook with the list written down inside it. I was amazed when I read how it described my husband's qualities exactly! Well, OK, he has a beard and I hadn't specified that I wanted someone with no facial hair, but it wasn't a deal breaker and I'm rather fond of it now. What matters is that the Universe delivered a person with the qualities that I DID specifiy. I find it truly amazing! I met my husband almost exactly one year after I wrote that list. At the end of the list I wrote down the note "Your soul knows the timing. True love WILL show up, when the time is right." It took a year for him to come into my life, but I got exactly what I wanted and when I was ready for him.
Now, as I said in the beginning, we have actually attracted EVERYTHING into our lifes that we're currently experiencing. But if you're like me, most of it was unconscious. I've attracted some good things and I've attracted some less than desirable things. But now that I'm armed with the knowledge about how the law of attraction works I can be an active participant in my manifesting. I know that this is not something that we become experts at overnight, but I'm excited about the prospect of being a part of manifesting my dream life!
What have YOU manifested? What WILL you manifest?
I'd like to share with you two major things I manifested into my life, before I even knew about the Universal Laws and the Law of Attraction.

Honest Review - The 11 Forgotten Laws
I have finished listening to all 12 sessions of the audio course "The 11 Forgotten Laws" with Bob Proctor and Mary Morrissey. I have listened to each session at least two or more times so far. I truly enjoy listening to them as they are uplifting and inspiring. And they completely explain the Law of Attraction (and all the laws) in terms that are very easy to understand.
The 11 laws include: The Law of Thinking, Supply, Attraction, Receiving, Increase, Compensation, Non-Resistance, Forgiveness, Sacrifice, Obedience, and Success.
This is not a program where you purchase it, listen through it one time and then become an expert. This is definitely something that you'll want to listen to over and over. As well, you will want to continue your education of the laws with further readings.
This course also comes with the ebook "Working With the Law" by Raymond Holliwell which is really what the audio sessions go off of. Each audio session discusses a chapter and a law from the book.
My only disappointment is that I'm left feeling a little bit like "now what do I do?" Yes, there is a "workbook" if you can call it that. There are questions to answer after each chapter/audio session to help make sure you understood the messages they were trying to get across. But I'm a person who needs a little more hand holding. This information is absolutely wonderful, but now I need to know what to do with it. I have found myself going back to my copy of the book "Ask and It Is Given" by Esther and Jerry Hicks for some practical exercises in the Law of Attraction.
I definitely recommend finding an opportunity to listen to "The 11 Forgotten Laws" to enjoy their straightforward explanations of how the laws of the universe work.

The 11 Forgotten Laws
Being a person who craves to learn more and more, especially about the Law of Attraction and making it work like second nature in my life, I have recently begun to listen to the audio program The 11 Forgotten Laws. This is a program put out by Bob Proctor and Mary Morrissey. They explain that the Law of Attraction talked about in the movie "The Secret" is incomplete, and that without knowledge and understanding of the rest of the laws, getting the LOA to work for you in your life might be disappointing. Anyone who watched that movie was likely inspired and relieved to know that we can change our lives and manifest our dreams. But it's hard to do with only part of the information.
The 11 Forgotten Laws explains the other laws of the universe which you must understand in order to make the Law of Attraction work most optimally. Listening to Bob and Mary talk is quite soothing and inspiring at the same time. They are very clear and easy to understand. I'm very happy I found this program to help me get the most out of manifesting my dream life. I love to read books and have gained a lot from them, but sometimes a great audio lecture that can be listened to over and over is very helpful as well. I have the downloadable digital version with access to the online workbook and frankly, that's all I need. Had I purchased the CD's, I would have put them all onto my computer and onto my ipod anyway!
Take a peek and see if this isn't something that might help you to better understand the Law of Attraction and how it works with all the laws of the universe. Perhaps this is just the thing to make working with the law of attraction finally click for you.
Happy manifesting!

January 2009 Update
Gosh, I can't believe it's been over 2 months since I last posted. I got very busy with the holidays and with a lot of other stuff I've attracted into my life!
I am still doing a lot of reading about Law of Attraction and trying to keep it at the forefront of my mind as I go through my days. But I'm also doing a lot of other reading related to things I've attracted!
I fully intend for my son to become completely healthy in 2009 and no longer live on a restricted diet, medications, and have doctor visits and hospital procedures. I have bumped into EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) in the past, but it was brought to me again. This time I took a better look and have begun to practice EFT for myself and my family. In going down the EFT road, I also met some people to support me, one in particular who has been where I currently am in terms of my child's health. She's been very helpful in getting me on a plan and also introduced me to the work of another person respected in the allergy and EFT arena whose works I need to finish reading and practicing. Then, I was contacted by someone about enzymes helping my son's condition. So I've been reading and researching that and am excited to get started with that aspect of improving his health as well!
My point is, I don't think that these things would have come to me had I not asked for answers to my questions and had a strong intention to make some progress in my son's health instead of just sitting around waiting for the next doctor visit. There is still so much to read and do and it's quite time consuming, but it's all worth it.
So that is what I've been up to! What have you attracted into your life so far since you've started working with the Law of Attraction?

Ask and It Is Given - Dealing with dis-ease
I am also currently reading "Ask and It Is Given" by Esther and Jerry Hicks. It's been so enlightening and gives me great hope for manifesting the things in my life that I truly desire.
I found something early in the book that explained something I already believed had happened to me. Two years ago, my 4 1/2 year old son was diagnosed with a dis-ease. We put him on a special diet and some meds and he began to feel great and he also tested 100% clear of this dis-ease a couple months later. We maintained that diet and meds and life was good and we felt very happy that he was doing so well.
And then, for some reason, I decided to seek out others also managing this situation and found a couple support groups and websites and heard some very terrible and extreme stories, things that made me cry myself to sleep at night NOT wanting this to happen to my son. Several times a day I was getting emails about the other parents dealing with their children's dis-ease and kept it in the forefront of my mind. It was heartbreaking and saddening.
Jump to August 2008. My son was still feeling totally great, symptom free, happy and healthy as could be. He had a test just to follow-up and the doctor came out of the operating room with photos that showed things were not doing very well on the inside, despite his lack of symptoms or issues on the outside. My heart sank.
But here's what I truly believe happened. Instead of continuing to focus on my son doing so well and being healthy and normal, I started focusing on what could potentially happen with this dis-ease and just how terrible it could become and I was reminded of it several times a day. I truly believe that putting the vibration out there of "I don't want this illness to turn this bad for my son" did exactly that... make my son's condition worse, not better. Had we continued to put out the vibrations of happiness, health and managing this without any big issue, it would have continued on that way instead.
So when I read in "Ask and It Is Given" on Page 59: about controling conditions I realized that indeed, that is what happened. It says: "Through personal force or strength, or gathering together in groups to gain the feeling of more power or control, they seek to preserve their own Well-Being by attempting to take control of any circumstances that they believe could threaten it. But, in this attraction-based Universe where there is no such thing as exclusion, the harder they push against unwanted things, the more they achieve vibrational alignment with unwanted things - and in doing so, the more they invite unwanted things into their own experience."
This is exactly what happened to me with the support groups and information I found. They were not supportive in a positive way. I have since turned off all such support group emails and no longer have my day interrupted with the latest worst case scenario causing me to focus on what I DON'T want. It feels SO MUCH BETTER, just that step alone. And I talk with my son about getting more and more healthy every day and about how great he feels and how healthy he already is.
To continue on in the book they next discuss "But Whose 'Truth' is the True TRUTH?" Which is a good question because I was wondering if I'm being irresponsible by "denying" the "truth" about this dis-ease. But here is what they say:
"With enough attention to anything, the essence of what you have been giving thought to will eventually become a physical manifestation. And then as others observe your physical manifestation, through their attention to it, they help it to expand. And then, in time, this manifestation, whether it is one that is wanted or not, is called 'Truth'."
"We want you to remember that you have absolute choices about the 'Truths' that you create in your own experience. Once you understand that the only reason anyone ever experiences anything is because of their attention to the subject, then it is easy to see that 'Truth' only exists because someone gave their attention to it. So when you say, 'I should give my attention to such and such, because it is true,' that is the same thing as saying, 'Another gave their attention to something that THEY did not want, and by their attention to it they have invited it into THEIR experience. And since THEY have attracted something unwanted into THEIR experience, I should do it, also."
So, just because someone else gave this dis-ease attention and made it their "Truth" does NOT mean that I need to automatically take it as MY truth, but if I'm not careful and focus on it (through emails and groups) it could very well become my truth even if I don't want it to be.
I hope this has helped enlighten you as much as it has me. This has given me great hope for my son and everyone to be healthy of all dis-ease! It has also made me think twice about the type of support I seek in the future for anything.
I am thoroughly enjoying this book. I'm now reading Part II which talks about many ways to help you feel good and get into a better vibrational thought pattern. I definitely recommend picking this up for anyone who wants to read a clear cut explanation of Law of Attraction and get actual tips and exercised to do which help improve your attraction.

Bruce H. Lipton Ph.D. and the Biology of Belief
Yesterday I listened to a 2 hour seminar online presented by Bruce Lipton, a cell biologist. I have to say that I'm blown away and giddy with hopefullness for the future!
How I found Bruce Lipton
I was asking questions to people on PowerfulIntentions.org about using Law of Attraction to help cure dis-ease, specifically for my child. My 4 yo. son was diagnosed with some crazy "uncurable" condition at the age of 2 1/2 that involves allergies and degeneration of the esophagus. Someone pointed me to Dr. Lipton and his scientific findings. I just got his book this week and plan to read it immediately. However, I guess LOA was working in my favor because I had signed up at his website some time ago and got notice of this online seminar and really wanted to listen to it, but it was $20. Anyway, I got an opportunity to listen to it for free so I registered. And here I am, even more interested and fascinated with LOA, Quantum Physics, and the Biology of Belief and how our health and happiness is truly in our hands!
Without repeating the entire seminar I'd like to share a couple things that really hit me. One is that our genetics do not determine our fate. We are not stuck. We are not vicitims as the current world would have us believe. We do not need to rely on the expertise of doctors and specialists and huge drug companies to heal us. We have the power within us. Secondly, that our conscious mind is only working 5% of the day. That is the part that has dreams and desires. However, our actions and behaviors come from our subconscious mind which is working the other 95% of the day. And the subconscious mind works out of habits and patterns that were downloaded as children, many of them limiting. That's why it's so hard for us to actually manifest our dreams... because our subconscious minds are still working from conflicting limiting patterns and habits.
I know this sounds all hocus-pocus to many. Believe me, my husband is one of those people. I've always been quite open minded about things. Yet, I get torn because society tells us to beware of scams and such. But we finally realized the world wasn't flat, so who's to say that what we believe right now, based on science isn't actually wrong and outdated, and that the new science is correct? Especially when searching for a cure for dis-ease and trying to manifest a happy and healthful life? The old way hasn't given us the cures we desire.
The more I read and learn, the more I find to read and learn about! I'm excited and fascinated by all the information I'm finding. I believe that I've attracted this information to me and now I need to sort through it all and figure out exactly how I'm going to proceed.
I have to say again though, all this information leaves me feeling hopeful and enlightened! As usual, I'll keep you posted.
Tracy
